I visited on opening day and everything was SO delicious! I got a bacon egg and cheese roll, a nitro cold brew coffee, a garnet & gold red velvet hello cake to go. For it being their first day, their whole team worked like a well oiled machine! The line moved very quickly and they have seating inside and outside to sit and enjoy everything. Everything tasted amazing!! Will definitely be back again soon

Took me way too long to get to Ground Ops. I am sorry i didn’t visit sooner! Excellent coffee. I got a black iced americano so i could really taste the beans. It was perfect.
Ground Ops is a wonderful and cozy little cafe. My husband and I ordered both sweet and savory rolls. My favorite by far is their original cinnamon roll. It’s sweet, chewy with the perfect amount of glaze. The Hello cake was buttery and vanilla-y. We shared a bacon egg and cheese roll which was perfectly balanced between the eggs and dough. The coffee was delicious! They have a wide variety of flavored syrups and good sized cups. We will definitely be back for more. Congratulations to Chris and his family for creating such a great place.
I had a customer bring 2 boxes of the largest and most delicious cinnamon rolls, and coffee pods I've ever had! The medium roast pods are individually sealed and biodegradable and quite good, a solid choice for breakfast goodies!
Such a trendy local coffee shop! I had a great visit here, where the white chocolate mocha and cookie butter lattes were delicious. It is a bit pricey here, but i honestly didn’t mind as the service was great, the flavors were original and yummy, and the atmosphere inside of the shop was cozy and uplifting! They change flavors frequently and I’ve heard the cinnamon rolls are amazing. A good place for some sweet treats. I do hope they open another location with a bigger parking lot, as the parking honestly sucks and you just hope you don’t scrape your car as you pull in.
Fantastic cup of coffee and the vibes are excellent! Service is quick, staff is friendly, and atmosphere is comfortable. Had the opportunity to have a chat with the owners wonderful Aunt Gail, truly a family business. Also be sure, to have a look at the artwork that her and her friend did just for the shop. The cinnamon roll is the best in town I’ve had in Tallahassee. Seating is plentiful and comfortable, both inside and outside. Ground Ops is an excellent addition and complement to the coffee shops in Midtown. Stop in and enjoy some of the best Tally has to offer.
1.28.24 I had my first Ground Ops experience. Firstly, I loved that the line ended at the door; one of the good signs that I may be at a top-rated spot. We were immediately greeted by staff (another plus for me). I ordered 3 cinnamon rolls & a spinach quiche slice. The quiche was divine while the rolls weren't even close. However, the atmosphere, customer service, and cleanliness of the establishment (both in/out) made for a very nice visit! My customized order of a vanilla hazelnut latte w/ almond milk was absolutely fabulous! It was so rich, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness and flavoring that I tipped the barista. This is one of Tally's newest gems!
Love supporting local- especially veteran owned and this coffee shop hits all the high points! Delicious coffee, yummy pastries and excellent atmosphere!! Definitely check it out!
Upon entry to the Ground Ops Roastery, we kept exclaiming our astonishment that we hadn’t been here yet, after driving by hundreds of times. At the very point where Monroe and Thomasville Rd converge, the GOR is a busy and attractive coffeehouse that begs you to sit back, have a snack and a cup of your favorite beverage and relax. We had the Red Velvet, the Orange cake, Hello Cake and a vegetarian focaccia. All were outstanding, like the very best I’ve ever had they are that good! The staff suggested a perfect pink strawberry custom soda that my daughter adored, and her only regret was as mentioned that we hadn’t found this place sooner! Will most definitely be coming back regularly to our new favorite coffee shop and bakery.
